At 11:00am is the Reptile show, 12:00pm the Jungle Bird Show, 12:30 Walkabout Tours, 1:30 the Wildlife Wonder Show and at 3:00 the Reptile Show.
While interesting, I’m not sure it is worth $25 a head to get in and wander their 10 acres, but it does have 4 out of a max. of 5 positive reviews out of 1400 on TripAdvisor probably due to the shows, which are pretty cool.
Selby Gardens
Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, 1534 Mound St, is a must see garden sanctuary. The Sarasota campus is open 10–5:00 every day except Christmas. Cost is $28 per adult, but we may have passes as members to offer $12 admission to our guests. There are events and tours so check the calendar
on the website before you go for things of interest.
Expect to spend the day there. Picnic and/or find nice dining
right in the gardens.
Bayfront Gardens
The Ringling Bayfront Gardens 5401 Bay Shore Rd at the entrance to The Ringling. Part of the Ringling Museum are their gardens. Mable Ringling’s Rose Garden dates back to 1913, although none of the 1200 roses currently there are from her original efforts.
There is also Mable’s Secret Garden (middle photo) which was resurrected by volunteer from the Sarasota Garden Club of which Mable was the first president. There is the Dwarf Garden (photo on the right) with stone statues.
